Reactor began in February 1990 as original coffee stain art. I got bored while working as an outside contractor at Three Mile Island for the shutdown of Unit Two, which had been damaged in the 1979 accident at TMI. Consequently, due to the doldrums experienced in the radiation department, I began filling in the coffee stains daily appearing on my desktop calendar. I did this for the entire month, adding various markings and relevant imagery until I had finished the graphic collage which became the core of the 1995 interactive website.
